Introduction
Flat 7, Sandhills is a ground-floor sea facing flat in Constantine Bay, Cornwall. This self catering holiday flat can sleep upto 6 people. From the lounge at the front French windows open on to the patio and large garden. It’s only a one minute walk from the end of the garden down the lane to Constantine Bay beach, sand dunes and the coast path.
Constantine Bay and the surrounding area has been designated as both an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and also an 'Area of Special Scientific Interest'. This beautiful, unspoilt coastline is a haven for surfers, golfers, walkers and bird watchers and provides an ideal holiday location.
The beach at Constantine Bay is regularly tested for cleanliness and currently receives a merit award within European standards. There are lifeguards through the summer season and there are large shallow rock pools for children to play in. For surf in all conditions, as well as Constantine Bay, you can try Booby's Bay, Treyarnon, Harlyn or further west, Watergate. A surf school operates on the beach at Constantine Bay. Classes can be booked and gear and kit hired through the surf shop that is a short walk up the road from the flat.
The Trevose Golf and Country Club is at the top of the road. The 18 hole 'Championship Course', with views out to sea, is one of the best in the West Country. There are also two 9 hole courses. There is a bar and restaurant and club facilities also include an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts.
For walkers there are fine cliff-top walks heading south towards Treyarnon Bay, Porthcothan, Bedruthan Steps and Watergate Bay, all dog friendly. Northwards is Trevose Head, Harlyn and Trevone, and cliffs beyond to Stepper Point overlooking the Camel Estuary, Pentire Point, Polzeath and Rock with the habour town of Padstow just round the corner.
